When you use Sterling Connect:Direct?you must create a remote node entry in the network map for each remotenode you communicate with. Each network map contains information aboutthe remote node such as remote node name operating system typecommunications mode and communications path. To use the Sterling Connect:Direct gatewayyou need to add a network map for Sterling B2B CollaborationNetwork.

1. During preconfiguration you supplied the Network Implementationteam with the Sterling Connect:Direct versionyou are using. The Network Implementation team e-mails you the correctnetwork map based on your version of Sterling Connect:Direct:
   • CDWEB-4100.cdn for Sterling Connect:Direct 4.1
   • CDWEB-4200.cdn for Sterling Connect:Direct 4.2
2. Open the e-mail message and save the attached network mapto the Sterling Connect:Direct Server folder.This folder is normally located in the following file path:

   C:/ProgramFiles/SterlingCommerce/ConnectDirectvXXXX/Server

   where XXXX isyour Sterling Connect:Direct versionnumber.

3. From the Server folder double-click the network map filename. The CD Requester window opens with the new network map.
4. Double-click the network map to open a login box.
5. Type your CD Requester user ID and password.
6. Click OK to open the Netmap windowwith the new network map displayed (NDM.CDWEB.LOCAL).
7. Right-click in the Netmap window and select Apply toadd the new network map to Sterling Connect:Direct.
8. Close the CDWeb file window.
