Abstract
In Maximo Base Services 7.1.1.6, advancements have been made to the Ad Hoc Reporting (QBR) Functionality to enable Multiple Report Object Structures to be associated to a single application.
Content
Report Object Structures (ROS) are used in the V7 Ad Hoc (QBR) Reporting Functionality to enable users to select fields from multiple tables for their individual report.
In the 7.1.1.6 Release, this functionality has been extended to enable clients to associate multiple ROS to a single application. Users will then be able to select from multiple Parent Categories (ROS) to begin their Ad Hoc Report Creation.
Additionally, a new security action is available where you can grant security groups access to some ROS, and not others. This is enabled from the Report Administration Application, via a new action called 'Set Report Object Structure' Security and enabled via a new database table, REPORTOSAUTH.
This functionality is highlighted by three new Report Object Structures which are enabled out of the box for the Asset Application, which are Asset Details, Asset Activity and Asset Hierarchy.
Additional details on this feature can be found in the 'V7 QBR Ad Hoc Reporting' Guide located here
