Activate an Extended Attribute

About this task

Asan administrator you can activate an extended attribute created foran extensible object. By activating an attribute the status of theattribute is modified from Draft to Active.For example if you have created an order level attribute to showthe date of purchase and configured the same to be displayed in theOrder Details screen then when the attribute is activated it isdisplayed on the Order Details screen in the end-user application.
Note: The Activate buttonis enabled only when the selected extensible object has one or moreextended attributes in the Draft status.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Object Extensibilityscreen. To navigate to the Object Extensibility screen perform thefollowing steps:
    1. Log in to Sterling Business Center asan administrator.
    2. From the System Setup Home pageexpand the Customizations menu and then click ObjectExtensibility.
    The Object Extensibility screen is displayed.
  2. From the Extensible Objects treenavigate to the child node of the extensible object having attributesin the Draft status which can be activated. The details of the extended attributes for the child node isdisplayed in the Extended Attributes panel.
  3. In the Extended Attributes panel select the check boxadjacent to the attribute you want to activate and then click the Activate button.When you activate an extended attribute the status of the attributeis modified from Draft to Active.
