This document discusses a possible cause of this error trying to use Windows Username and Password for no Prompting with IBM i Access for Windows.

Resolving The Problem

CWBSY1040 - Credentials not available error with Use Windows Username and Password, no prompting.

The Windows username had been created without a password, so there were no password credentials available to pass to the IBM i. Resolve the issue by giving the Windows username a password.
