The Odette File Transfer Protocol (OFTP) is one of the most established protocols for automated standardized data exchange between trading partners. OFTP was created by Odette the European Automotive standards body and is a standard within business sectors such as Automotive Engineering and Transportation.
The latest version of OFTP is version 2 known as OFTP2. This version is mainly intended for secure data exchange over the public Internet where security is guaranteed by the use of security certificates.
