Answer
About Freight Allocation
Use the Edit Freight Allocation Configuration page to set up yourfreight allocation strategy. Freight allocation is the process ofdividing the total shipping cost among individual shipments stopsor orders.
For example:
- You might want to allocate the total shipment cost to the stopsin the route based on the distance required to deliver the load toeach stop.
- You might want to allocate the total costs for each stop to theorders at that stop based on the weight of the orders.
You can configure freight allocation for the following options:
- Dedicated fleets
- Shipments
- Stops
Note: If you define stop-level allocation you also have to defineorder-level allocation.
