Problem

SYSTEM ABEND CODE: 00F8    
ABEND REASON CODE: 00000014

Symptom

The issuer of a Supervisor Call (SVC) instruction was not in the correct mode to issue the SVC.                                 
Reason code 14 means:                                                                                                        
The issuer established an enabled, unlocked task (EUT) mode functional recovery routine (FRR) by specifying EUT=YES on a SETFRR macro.  

Cause

Upon reentry into the FRR macro, the call is expected to be in either TCB or SRB mode. The issuer used the incorrect type of call, which does not meet the expected mode.

Diagnosing The Problem

This ABEND and reason code are usually seen during PET initialization. The client might see other error messages such as:

ANTM6999E PET TABLE INITIALIZATION FAILED, RC=6304

Resolving The Problem

Have the issuer correct their call to the FRR macro.
