Problem
"[A07A] 'NAV' driver is not licensed" displays when querying archived data through the ODBC thin client drivers associated with Optim Connect 5.3.2 or 5.3.3. The message may also read "[A07A] 'REMOTE' driver is not licensed"
Symptom
The following symptom is displayed when running 'nav_util -b bindurl=servername:port/workspace execute datasource' from the ODBC thin client bin folder.
Cannot open log file C:\IBM Optim\Connect\Clients\ODBC_3.5\tmp\nav.log;
No such file or directory
[N001] Can't open sys object store.
Directory C:\IBM Optim\Connect\Clients\ODBC_3.5\def does not exist
The previous messages were generated before the log file was opened
Log file is C:\DOCUME~1\USER\LOCALS~1\TEMP\LG20130402093540276_1912.LOG
[A07A] 'NAV' driver is not licensed
Alternatively, using the Optim Connect ODBC Thin Client with "Non Relational Connectors" or with "Enterprise" Optim licenses may also see a variation of this error message. In these cases, the error will be will be seen as a failure when accessing any Infosphere Federation Server nickname related to an Optim Connect data source. The Nickname error could include:
SQL1822N Unexpected error code "HY000" received from data source "FLATTEST".
Associated text and tokens are " 'NAV' driver is not licensed".
SQLSTATE=560BD
Where "FLATTEST" is the name of the Federated Server object.
