Dropped connections and poor performance may occur when configuring Serial over LAN at baud rates of 9600 or higher.
Affected configurations
---
The system may be any of the following IBM eServers:
- an eServer 326, type 8848, any model
- an eServer 325, type 8835, any model

Workaround

Configure system to use no higher than 4800 bauds for the console serial speed when using Serial over LAN. This is a current limitation of the system. The internal bus between the Broadcom ethernet controller and the BMC is unable to accommodate connections over 9600 bauds.
