- Preboot CLI: 01.00-011
Enhancment:
- Add support for iTBBU02 LiON Battery Backup Unit.
Fixes:
- Fixed issue where the iBBU recalibration does not finish and goes into a battery charge/discharge loop
- Addressed issue where the firwmare could generate a fatal firmware
- Fixed controller hang when the a single inconsistency is found on RAID 5.
- Fixed firmware problem where flushing disk cache in some shutdown scenarios does not occur correctly
- Addressed a problem where a continuous Media Error (CME) will cause a firmware crash
- Fixed a problem where the selection of any physical drive will fail if global hot spare is created out of smaller PD.
- Corrected a issue where a SMART error is still reported in 24 hours, even after
Version 7.0.1-0064
Contains:
Firmware Image: 1.12.220-0560
MPT Firmware: 01.18.79.00-IT
Boot Block: R2.3.15
BIOS: MT33
Web BIOS: 1.1-33g-e_11-Rel
Control-R: 1.04-019A
Preboot CLI: 01.00-011
- Fixed Data integrity issue with multi-row write.
- Fixed issue where the Operating system is not found when an error occurs in DDF anchor.
- Fixed data integrity issue where commands were lost during heavy I/O.
- Fixed issue where the firmware incorrectly sets battery status as missing.
- Fixed media errors which transpired with data under runs.
- Fixed issue where firmware was not getting event logs with wrapped events.
- Fixed issue when single drive pull causes all drives on quad to fail.
- Fixed regenerate parity after hitting double media error.
- Incorporated Unicoi NVRAM checksum fix
- Modified the Gas Gauge temperature offset to 0.7 for all LiON batteries
- Fixed defect when inconsistency found during patrol read when physical disk status are changed from online to missing.
- Fixed PCI SERR on boot in x3650 with RSAII coexistence.
- Changed Vivaldi drive size reporting from MB to GB.
Version 7.0.1-0054
Contains:
Firmware Image: 1.12.170-0471
MPT Firmware: 01.18.78.00-IT
Boot Block: R.2.3.15
BIOS: MT33
Web BIOS: 1.12.170-0471
Control-R: 1.04-019A
Preboot CLI: 01.00-011
- Added a new feature to enable scheduling of consistency check.
- Added an "Abort on CC Error" option. This option is disabled by default. When enabled, consistency check will stop and generate a Critical AEN when it encounters an error.
- Added the ability to configure PDFailHistory.
- Improved performance with smaller queue depth and smaller block size.
- Enhanced the Auto Import function so that, based on controller property settings, the controller will do one of the following upon detecting foreign configuration during startup:
a) do nothing
b) prompt the user to import the configuration
c) automatically import the configuration with no user intervention
Appropriate events will be generated. - Changed bad block management so that, when a medium error is detected, dummy data is written to the sector and the parity data of the row is modified. A Logical Drive Bad Block Table (LDBBT) is now created.
- Enhanced the import view such that the preview data, which shows which drives will be rebuilt for each virtual drive, will now allow the user to remove drives from the import.
- Added preboot CLI support.
- Implemented a feature to save controller properties to DDF metadata so that user customizations can be restored if a controller is replaced.
- Added a diagnostic to the boot sequence to detect errors in ACU or MCU registers on some CPUs. An NVRAM bit was designated to ensure that this diagnostic is only run once at boot.
Version 5.1.1-0075
Contains:
- Firmware Image: 1.03.30-0459
Fixes:
- Changed PCI-E command time handling to prevent an SERR (NMI) due to command completion timeout.
Version 5.1.1-0072
Contains:
- Firmware Image: 1.03.20-0400
- MPT Firmware: 01.18.78.00-IT
- Boot Block: R.2.3.12
- BIOS: MT30
- Web BIOS: 1.03.20-0400
- Control-R: 1.04-019A
Fixes:
- Changed the versioning to match the package version, rather than the FW version.
- Fixed an issue where the system was not bootable after a shutdown while an auto-rebuild was being done.
- Fixed an issue where a data miscompare might occur when there were multiple media errors.
- Fixed an issue where, while performing I/O during a RAID level migration or an array capacity expansion, incorrect data may be passed during a data transfer.
Version 1.03.20-0225
- Fixed a hang condition that occurred when trying to configure greater than 16 disks in a RAID-10. The maximum supported disks in a RAID-10 is 16 disks.
- Fixed a hang condition that occurred after entering the WebBIOS when more than 8 spans were configured on the controller.
Version 1.03.00-0225
- Fixed issue where flashing enclosures though the 8480 SAS controller would fail.
- Addressed issue where it was possible to set hard drive spin-up values in the BIOS to levels that were not acceptable to the adapter.
- Fixed issue where a stop error is reported when a reboot of the system occurs after performing a hot rebuild.
- Increased "hard drive missing" delay to 15 seconds to allow for intermittent link failures which would otherwise cause a hard drive to be incorrectly marked defunct.
- Fixed a potential data corruption issue which was caused by a 2nd drive failure following the completion of a drive rebuild on a RAID 5 logical drive configured with write-back caching. The fix for the issue is to flush the entire contents of the write-back cache following the completion of a rebuild, and to wait for this flush to complete before allowing the drive's state to be changed from REBUILD to ONLINE.
Version 1.03.00-0211
- Fixed an issue where data inconsistencies may be detected on a MegaRAID logical volume, if the logical volume has an ongoing background operation in progress and a system reset occurs. (RETAIN H19554)
- Fixed an issue where a server, operating with a MegaRAID 8480 RAID controller which is hosting SATA hard disk drives or a mix of SATA and SAS drives, may encounter a rare condition that could result in the operating system reporting data loss or data corruption while the server is running heavy disk intensive operations. (RETAIN H19519)
Version 1.02.02-0167
- Modification made to force a message status update to occur when a drive is physically pulled.
- In rare cases, after removing a hard disk drive under heavy I/O without first marking the drive dead, data may become corrupted with no error events logged. (RETAIN H19286)
Version 1.02.00-0112
- Initial release
