The latest BMC code level is a CO-requirement with RSA II level 16AC.

Note: You now have two ways of downloading files with the *.sh extension. You can use either the IBM Download Director, or the HTTP protocol to download these files. Do NOT use FTP as this will only cause the file to open your browser.

Version 1.09, KPEP30A

Problem(s) Fixed:

• Permit simultaneous remote mounting of IMG and ISO files.
• Improved the handling of invalid network data to prevent the network connection from hanging.
• Enable SNMP alerts to be sent for a hard drive fault recovery
• Corrected a problem where the Write Protect selection did not work on remote USB key mounts
• Corrected a problem where after accessing the Remote Supervisor Adapter II from 4 different SNMP hosts, accesses from other hosts were not allowed.
• Permit writes of large files (larger than 10MB) to remotely mounted USB key
• Corrected a problem where the web interface could not be accessed after using address redirection
• Corrected a problem that caused certificate commands sent to the Remote Supervisor Adapter II by the Advances Settings Utility v2.1 or higher to intermittently fail.
• Corrected a problem where performing an SNMP query from any host when using 0.0.0.0 in the first hostname of the first community fails.
• Prohibit multiple login profiles from being created with the same user name.

  Note: this feature is available only for servers and clients running Windows operating systems. The IBM Remote Supervisor Adapter II Windows Terminal Services Bridge must be installed on the server to use this feature.

Problem(s) Fixed:

• Improved the handling of invalid network data to prevent the network connection from hanging.
  
• Fixed a problem where an SNMP walk through query of the system health could loop infinitely
  
• Fixed a problem where the user either sees a blank web page or a timeout for the page not loading. The problem can occur in three
  scenarios:
  1. The maximum number of failed attempts to log into the RSA-II web interface has been reached. Normally, a page stating "Too many unsuccessful login attempts have been detected." would have been displayed.
  2. When the maximum number of sessions are already in use. Normally a page stating "All sessions are currently in use. Try again later." would have been displayed.
  3. The web session lost due to someone else logging in with the same user id. Normally a page stating "Your session has terminated because you logged in with this userid at another location." would have been displayed.
     

Enhancement:

• Allow larger size certificates to be imported. Increased the maximum allowable certificate size from 2039 to 5112 bytes.

Problem(s) Fixed:

• Corrected a failure to copy large files from a remote floppy drive.
• Corrected a problem that intermittently caused the Remote Supervisor Adapter II to not respond to SNMP requests if the Remote Supervisor Adapter II is sent multiple SNMP requests while being reset.
• Corrected the write-protect selection of the remote media feature.
• Corrected a problem that prevented the Remote Control feature from working with clients when Network Address Translation is used.

Problem(s) Fixed:

• Improved the handling of invalid network data to prevent the network connection from hanging
• Corrected the IP address reported in the Service Location Protocol data. When one of the "dot" fields is set to 0, the RSA II previously reported the address field as "000" instead of just "0". IBM Director will not recognize IP addresses reported with multiple 0's ("000") in the fields
• Corrected a problem that caused the loss of the remote keyboard function in the Remote Control feature
• Corrected a problem where the Remote Control video locks with constant remote video scrolling

Enhancement:

• Added support for md2WithRSAEncryption certificates
• Added a user choice to allow or disallow wildcards in the group name
• Added nested LDAP group membership support for Active Directory environments
• Updates to handle voltage alerting changes in BMC version 1.20

Dependencies:

• Voltage alerting changes have been made to the BMC firmware version 1.20. To handle these changes, IBM RSA II version 1.06 or later is required.

• Fixed the stuck key problem that occurs when using Ctl+Esc or Alt+Esc to switch between windows on a remote control client.

• If the Remote Supervisor Adapter II is unable to read the server's machine type, or if the machine type is different than expected, an error log warning is generated asking the user to ensure that the Remote Supervisor Adapter II is flashed with the correct firmware.
