Change history
Severity: Suggested
Version 1.09, PME821C
Problems Fixed:
Suggested
- Fix for Remote Control General Exception in JRE 1.6 update 12 and above.
Enhancement:
Limitations:
Dependencies:
Version 1.08, PME821A
Problems Fixed
- Prohibit multiple login profiles from being created with the same user name.
- Corrected Daylight Savings Time support for New Zealand
- Enable SNMP alerts to be sent for a hard drive fault recovery
- Permit simultaneous remote mounting of IMG and ISO files
- Allow an ISO or IMG file with readonly attributes to be mounted.
- Corrected a problem where the Write Protect selection did not work on remote USB key mounts
- Improved the handling of invalid network data to prevent the network connection from hanging.
- Corrected a problem where login profiles may not be restored correctly when the configuration settings are restored from a file.
- Fixed a problem where an SNMP walk through query of the system health could loop infinitely
-
Fixed a problem where the user either sees a blank web page or a timeout for the page not loading. The problem can occur in three scenarios:
- The maximum number of failed attempts to log into the RSA-II web interface has been reached. Normally, a page stating "Too many unsuccessful login attempts have been detected." would have been displayed.
- When the maximum number of sessions are already in use. Normally a page stating "All sessions are currently in use. Try again later." would have been displayed.
- The web session lost due to someone else logging in with the same user id. Normally a page stating "Your session has terminated because you logged in with this userid at another location." would have been displayed.
- Corrected a problem where after after accessing the Remote Supervisor Adapter II from 4 different SNMP hosts, accesses from other hosts were not allowed.
- Permit writes of large files (larger than 10MB) to remotely mounted USB key
- Corrected a failure to copy large files from a remote floppy drive.
- Corrected a problem that intermittently caused the Remote Supervisor Adapter II to not respond to SNMP requests if the Remote Supervisor Adapter II is sent multiple SNMP requests while being reset.
- Corrected a problem that prevented the Remote Control feature from working with clients when Network Address Translation is used.
- Corrected the IP address reported in the Service Location Protocol data. When one of the "dot" fields is set to 0, the Remote Supervisor Adapter II previously reported the address field as "000" instead of just "0". IBM Director will not recognize IP addresses reported with multiple 0's ("000") in the fields.
- Corrected a problem where performing an SNMP query from any host when using 0.0.0.0 in the first hostname of the first community fails.
Enhancement:
- Allow larger size certificates to be imported. Increased the maximum allowable certificate size from 2039 to 5112 bytes.
- Added support for md2WithRSAEncryption certificates
- Added Swiss-German keyboard support.
- Added USB key support to the remote media feature
- Added the ability to send remote alert notifications when login attempts repeatedly fail.
- Added support for Internet Explorer 7
- Added Daylight Saving Time support for western Australia
- Added support for Mozilla to the remote control feature
- Added a feature to lockout the command line interface for a period of time after 5 unsuccessful login attempts.
Limitations:
Dependencies:
Version 1.07, PME818C
Problem(s) Fixed:
Enhancement:
- Added support for the year 2007 US Daylight Saving Time changes.
Limitations:
Dependencies:
Version 1.06, PME818B
Problem(s) Fixed:
- Corrected a problem that prevented the Remote Supervisor Adapter II from recognizing drive faults reported by the SCSI backplane
- Corrected an intermittent failure that occurred when restoring the configuration to a Remote Supervisor Adapter remotely using the
ASM Interconnect interface.
- Changed the network interface to use port 636 when LDAP is using DNS to find servers and SSL is enabled.
Enhancement:
Limitations:
Dependencies:
Version 1.05 - PME816A
Problem(s) Fixed:
- Corrected a problem where the DHCP lease does not get renewed when the DHCP server is not on the same subnet mask/network as the Remote Supervisor Adapter II
- Corrected a problem that caused the Remote Supervisor Adapter II to not aquire a new DHCP IP address when the old IP address is lost
- Corrected a caching problem that caused LDAP DNS look-ups to fail
- Corrected a problem that caused the lflash or wflash utility to fail intermittently
Enhancement:
- Added support to authenticate through LDAP using an account that has the display name and SAMAccount name set to different values.
- Added French-Canadian keyboard support
- Changed maximum size of login string from 32 to 64 to support longer UPN or DN names.
- Allow dashes in the LDAP ASM Group Filter Name
- Increased the time to live to 128 on all packets from the Remote Supervisor Adapter to accommodate an increased number of network hops.
Limitations:
Dependencies:
Version 1.04 - PME812A
- Generate an alert when the power backplane consistently fails to respond to status requests
- Stopped generating the periodic SMIs used for Machine Check Architecture support
Version 1.03 - PME811A
- Changed the VRM thresholds to nominal +/- 200 mV for warnings and nominal +/- 250 mV for shutdowns
Version 1.02 - PME810A
- Corrected a problem where the server could become non-responsive 76 days after the Remote Supervisor Adapter II has been reset
- Change the response to the 0x1A remote disk command to UNSUPPORTED because CDROM drives can't handle the 0x1A ommand
- Added DASD backplane temperature threshold values to the web page
- Dynamically adjust the VRM thresholds to match the VRM voltage changes that occur while the system is running to support new higher speed CPUs
Version 1.01 - PME807A
- Changed fan numbering from 1, 2 and 3 to 1, 2, and 4
- Prevent a possible system hang during a reboot
- Recover an intermittent I2C bus hang
Version 1.00 - PME806A
- Initial release
