Abstract
Operator panel assembly removal movie for the IBM System x3650.
Content
To remove the Operator panel assembly:
Turn off the server and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
Remove the Cover:
- Press in the cover release latch and rotate up while sliding the cover the rear approximately one-half inch.
- Lift the cover off and place to the side.
Remove the Hot-Swap Fan Bracket Assembly:
- Lift up on the two fan bracket levers and lift the bracket out of the chassis and place aside.
Remove the Operator Panel assembly:
- Disconnect the Operator Information Panel cable from the system board.
- Separate the cable from the hook and loop fastener that secures the cable to the panel housing.
- Slide the operator information panel release latch to the left and pull the panel out of the server as far as it will go.
- Reach inside the server and press the release tabs: then pull the panel away from the rails and carefully pull the cable out of the server.
