To install the operator information panel assembly:

1. Feed the operator information panel ribbon cable through the opening in the front of the server and slide the panel into the server until it clicks into place.
2. Secure the ribbon cable to the chassis using the hook-and-loop fastener.
3. Connect the ribbon cable to the I/O board.
   Note: The Optical Drive signal cable has been removed for easier access.
4. With the fan-locking handle in the open position lower the fan into the socket.
5. Rotate the fan-locking handle to the closed position.

1. Position the slots in the top-cover latch bracket over the pins on the chassis, slide the bracket down and tighten the retainer screw to secure.

1. Position the cover over the chassis, aligning the tabs in the cover with the slots in the chassis.
2. Slide the cover forward while rotating the cover release latch down to the closed position.
