To install a rear system fan
- Position the fan so that the rubber grommets protrude through the holes in the chassis and use needle-nose pliers to pull the rubber grommets through the holes in the chassis to secure the fan.
- Connect the Fan cable to the system board.
- Return the server to its operational position.
Install the side cover:
- Position the cover over the ledge on the bottom of the chassis.
- Rotate the cover toward the server until secured by the latch.
- Lock the cover if required.
For specific instructions for the removal and installation of hardware.
