Troubleshooting


Problem

The initialization of IBM Sterling Connect:Direct for z/OS 5.2 fails with 081E - Message cannot be found directly after the Netmap is opened.

Cause

In order to still support the encryption of the NETMAP, AUTH, TCQ/TCX, and Secure Plus PARMFILE, the product was altered to use the Integrated Cryptographic Service Facility (ICSF) of the IBM SystemSSL Toolkit.

Resolving The Problem

Secure+ for Sterling Connect:Direct 5.2 and above requires ICSF. Cryptographic coprocessors are also required unless FMID HCR77A0 or higher is installed.
