The Delete Linux Server (DLTLNXSVR) command deletes the specified Linux network server description and associated objects.
These objects include the network server description (*NWSD), line description (*LIND), TCP/IP interfaces, server storage spaces (*SVRSTG) and system created network server storage spaces.
Note: Network server configurations (*NWSCFG), Network server host adapters (*NWSH) and user created network server storage spaces are not removed by this command.
Restrictions:
- You must have input/output system configuration (*IOSYSCFG) and all object (*ALLOBJ) special authority to run this command.
- The network server must be varied offline before this command is issued.

Network server description (NWSD)
Specifies the name of the network server to delete.
This is a required parameter.
- communications-name
- Specify the name of the network server description.
The network server name can be up to eight characters.
