Service APIs
The Service APIs include:
- Change Communications Trace Configuration (QSCCHGCT) is used to retrieve and change configuration settings used by communications trace.
- Change Contact Information (QEDCHGIN) updates the contact information that is supplied to a service provider when a problem is reported or a PTF is requested.
- Collect Hung Job Service Documentation (QPDETHNG) dumps documentation associated with the hung job to help service determine the cause of the hang.
- Convert Format of Service Information (QPDETCVT) takes the data input and convert it to a string containing an XML object.
- Filter Problem (QSXFTRPB) applies the currently active problem log filter to a problem log entry.
- Retrieve Contact Information (QEDRTVCI) returns the contact information that is supplied to a service provider when a problem is reported or a PTF is requested.
- Retrieve Policy Data (QPDETRTV) retrieves policy data.
- Retrieve Service Attributes (QESRSRVA) retrieves service information such as the service provider and whether automatic problem analysis should be performed.
- Retrieve XML Service Information (QSCRXMLI) lists service information like messages from a nonprogram message queue or messages sent to the program message queue of a job, in XML format, and optionally stores the output in a stream file.
- Send Service Request (QPDETSND) sends the request to the Service Monitor or to the Service Control job.
- Set User Policy (QPDETPOL) allows the changing of user policies related to service.
