JMS binding

A Java Message Service (JMS) provider, enables messaging based on the Java Messaging Service API and programming model. Use protocol-specific bindings with imports and exports to specify the means of transporting the data into or out of the module. Use the JMS import and export bindings to allow a Service Component Architecture (SCA) module to make calls to, and receive messages from external JMS systems.

Available JMS bindings

IBM® Workflow Server provides three JMS bindings:

  • JMS binding, which is a Service integration bus provider binding, compliant with JMS J2EE Connector Architecture (JCA) 1.5
  • WebSphere MQ JMS binding, providing JMS provider support for WebSphere MQ
  • Generic JMS binding, providing support for non-JCA providers, compliant with the JMS 1.1 specification
