Starting a printer writer

To start the printer writer, follow these steps.

1. Ensure that the status of the printer is Available.
   1. See Check the status of a printer to determine how to check the status.
   2. If the printer is not available, make the printer available. See Make printer available.
2. Expand Basic Operations.
3. Click Printers.
4. Right-click the printer for the writer that you want to start.
5. Click Start.
