Position 35 specifies a separator character to be used for date/time fields. The & (ampersand) can be used to specify a blank separator. See Table 33 and Table 36 for date and time formats and their default separators.
For an entry to be made in this field, an entry must also be made in positions 31-34 (date/time external format).
