Configuring the GPFS cluster
There are several tasks involved in managing your GPFS cluster. This topic points you to the information you need to get started.
GPFS cluster
management tasks include the following.
- Creating your GPFS cluster
- Displaying cluster configuration information
- Specifying nodes as input to GPFS commands
- Adding nodes to a GPFS cluster
- Deleting nodes from a GPFS cluster
- Changing the GPFS cluster configuration data
- Cluster quorum with quorum nodes
- Cluster quorum with quorum nodes and tiebreaker disks
- Displaying and changing the file system manager node
- Determining how long mmrestripefs takes to complete
- Starting and stopping GPFS
Note: In IBM Spectrum
Scale V4.1.1 and later, many of these
tasks can also be handled by the installation toolkit configuration
options. For more information on the installation toolkit, see Using the installation toolkit to perform installation tasks: Explanations and examples.
For information on RAID administration, see IBM Spectrum Scale RAID: Administration.
