IBM Automation Document Processing (ADP) integration

IBM Automation Document Processing provides capabilities to categorize, extract, and validate data from documents that are captured by Datacap.

For example, a batch for a mortgage application might contain PDF files for the mortgage application form, tax returns and photo ID. These documents can be uploaded and processed together to provide context to the user for correcting classification and validation errors. See how to upload documents to ADP.

As IBM Datacap user, you can take the advantage of ADP by using the action library. IBM Datacap can be used to ingest documents (files, emails, fax, scan), separate documents if necessary, then use the action library to connect to, and upload batches of documents to IBM Automation Document Processing.

Watson Knowledge Studio Integration for Insight Edition update

For Insight Edition customers, Datacap supports Watson Knowledge Studio new Advanced Rules Edition (WKS ARE). Watson Knowledge Studio uses Natural Language Processing to create extractors that can be used to find values in conversational text documents. These extractors can be exported to IBM Datacap to find the wanted information on a page without using zonal or lookup-based extraction.

To use this feature, you must acquire Watson Knowledge Studio separately. It is available as a SaaS solution, and the pricing is relatively low. Learn more on Watson Knowledge Studio, click https://www.ibm.com/cloud/watson-knowledge-studio.

Updated cursive recognition

The Datacap Cursive Recognition add-on has significantly improved accuracy for all handwriting use cases. Customers wanting to use this must purchase the handwriting add-on. This feature is not a part of the base Datacap product. Learn more about the HandwritingRecognition actions.

Content Analyzer and IBM Datacap UMS authorization

IBM Datacap has added UMS authorization to support the latest versions of Content Analyzer. UMS support is required for Content Analyzer 20.0.2 and later. Refer Content Analyzer actions.

Datacap High Speed Scanning Add-On

High Speed scanning can now be enabled in IBM Datacap Desktop, by installing the IBM Datacap High Speed Scanning 9.1.8 installer. A new library has been integrated, which enables complete control over all high speed ISIS-driven scanners. ISIS scan enabled custom panels can now be designed for IBM Datacap desktop using the IBM Datacap development toolkit.

Datacap OCRPL Recognition Add-On

IBM Datacap OCRPL Recognition 9.1.8 is a new machine print OCR engine for all customers with IBM Datacap 9.1.8. This add on can be installed on top of Datacap 9.1.8 on all Rulerunner servers. This new engine provides full page recognition. For more information see, RecognitionOCRPL
