IBM Information Server FastTrack

IBM® Information Server FastTrack places code on the client, services, and repository tiers.

IBM Information Server FastTrack also uses the connectors and service agents within the engine tier. Figure 1 shows interactions at the tier level.

In order to interact, all IBM Information Server FastTrack clients must connect to the product-specific services on one computer. IBM Information Server FastTrack clients interact with other IBM Information Server components by sharing server access to a common metadata repository. For example, the IBM Information Server FastTrack client and the IBM WebSphere® DataStage® and QualityStage Designer client, can reside on two different computers but both clients must connect to the same metadata repository using the same connector. Figure 2 shows that the IBM Information Server FastTrack client can be installed with other components or on a separate computer.
