Using file system as document store

In IBM® InfoSphere® Master Data Management Collaboration Server, a file system can be used as a document store instead of using the database.

  • Mounting a folder to the docstore
    You can mount file system directories to the docstore and then manipulate the directories with script operations or Java™ API. The docstore acts as a mount point and does not physically store the directories and files, which reside in the file system.
  • Inbound parameter
    You can use the inbound parameter to specify behavior when you mount the file system directories to the docstore.
  • Mount manager function updates
    The behavior of mount manager has changed in the way it scans and loads the file system files and their attributes to the docstore.
