System administrators can configure protocol plug-ins by using REST Administration APIs.

Creating and updating a protocol plug-in
System administrators can import a new or updated protocol plug-in by using the IBM Watson IoT Platform - Message Gateway REST API PUT method. System administrators can then create the protocol plug-in by using the IBM Watson IoT Platform - Message Gateway REST API POST method.
Deleting a protocol plug-in

System administrators can view the protocol plug-ins that are on IBM Watson IoT Platform - Message Gateway and the contents of their properties files by using the IBM Watson IoT Platform - Message Gateway REST API GET method.
Viewing the protocols and their allowed actions
System administrators can view the protocols that are on IBM Watson IoT Platform - Message Gateway and the actions that are allowed for each of them by using the IBM Watson IoT Platform - Message Gateway REST API GET method.
