Creating a database schema using the Rule Execution Server console
To create a Rule Execution Server database
schema, you can run the scripts from the Rule Execution Server console
and use the Installation Settings wizard if you
work on Windows and other
supported distributed platforms.
Installation Settings wizard overview
On Windows and
distributed platforms only, you can use the Installation
Settings wizard of the Rule Execution Server console
to choose a database and create the schema with the necessary tables
and views.
Opening the Rule Execution Server console
To open the Rule Execution Server console
and the Installation Settings wizard, you must
sign in with resAdministrators rights.
Step 1: Welcome to the Installation Settings wizard
If you open the Rule Execution Server console
with datasource as the persistence setting and an
empty database schema, the Installation Settings wizard
opens.
Step 2: Choose the database schema
After you have read the Welcome page,
you choose the database schema. Specific settings are available for DB2®. Optionally, you can select
a customized SQL script.
Step 3: Review the database schema
After you have selected a database type, you confirm the
creation of a schema for Rule Execution Server. You
can also use SQL drop statements that flush data from an existing
table and view the SQL statements.
