In this set of tasks, you create a JDBC provider, a data
source, and a connection pool, and do other optional tasks. You then
establish and test the database connection.
Creating a DB2 database on z/OS

the database schema by running the provided JCL scripts on the z/OS
system where DB2 is installed.

you first create a JDBC provider in WebSphere Application Server.

can secure your enterprise information system by creating J2C authentication
data.
Connecting to the database
After you have created a data source and connection pool,
you connect to the data source to test the connection to the database.
