Setting up a discovery

You can use the Discovery Management Console to set up a discovery.

In this scenario, you want to discover information about the following computer systems that are behind a firewall:
  • A Windows system with a host name of windows1.
  • A Windows system with a host name of windows2.
  • A Linux® system with a host name of linux1.
This scenario has six major steps:
  1. Setting the scope
  2. Configuring the access list
  3. Adding gateways
  4. Adding anchors
