Applying bulk actions to selected search results

After a query runs, you can apply bulk actions to selected search results.

Procedure

To apply bulk actions to selected search results:

  1. Run a new or existing query:
    Option Description
    New query For more information, see Constructing a relational query step by step or Constructing a query with a SQL statement.
    Existing query For more information, see Accessing a query.

    For example, suppose that several documents were checked out by someone who left your company. You might want to find all documents that are checked out under the system login name of your former coworker.

  2. Click the Search Results tab.
  3. On the Search Results tab, select the wanted objects.
  4. Click Actions > Batch Operations.
  5. In the Batch Operations window, select or define the bulk actions. For example, you might want to select the Cancel Checkout check box on the Actions tab.
  6. Click Ok.
