Uninstalling the IBM Integration Toolkit in silent mode

Uninstall the IBM® Integration Toolkit without user interaction.

For information about alternative modes that are available, see How to install and uninstall the IBM Integration Toolkit.

Complete the following steps:

  1. Log on to the computer on which IBM Integration Toolkit is installed. You have the option to uninstall with a user ID that does not have root or administrator authority.
  2. If you choose a user ID that does not have root or administrator authority, then prior to uninstalling a user with root or administer authority must run the following pre-uninstallation script file from the IBM Integration Toolkit home directory:
    • Linux platform<IIT90_Home>/wmbt/postconfig/preUninstall_admin.sh
    • Windows platform<IIT90_Home>\wmbt\postconfig\preUninstall_admin.bat
  3. To silently uninstall the IBM Integration Toolkit, start IBM Installation Manager by using the supplied script files.
    1. Navigate to the uninstallation directory and run the script file:
      • Linux platformpackage_group_dir/uninstall/uninstallMB-silent.sh

        For example:

        /opt/IBM/IntegrationToolkit90/uninstall/uninstallMB-silent.sh

      • Windows platformpackage_group_dir\uninstall\uninstallMB-silent.bat

        C:\Program Files\IBM\IntegrationToolkit90\uninstall\uninstallMB-silent.bat

  4. When the process completes, check the log file for errors. The file YYYYMMDD_TIME.xml is written to the following directory:
    • Linux platform/var/ibm/InstallationManager/logs.
    • Windows platformC:\ProgramData\IBM\Installation Manager\logs.
  5. Restart your computer to complete the uninstallation of the IBM Integration Toolkit.
  6. Delete the uninstallation directory if it still exists.
