Obtaining Simple Line Charts Summarizing Groups of Cases

This feature requires the Statistics Base option.

1. From the menus choose:

   Graphs > Legacy Dialogs > Line

2. Select the icon for Simple and select Summaries for groups of cases.
3. Click Define.
4. Select a variable for the category axis and move it into the Category Axis field. This variable may be numeric, string, or long string.
5. Select one of the alternatives in the Line Represents group to specify how the data are represented on the scale axis.
