Obtaining Multiple Line Charts Summarizing Groups of Cases

This feature requires the Statistics Base option.

1. From the menus choose:

   Graphs > Legacy Dialogs > Line

2. Select the icon for Multiple and select Summaries for groups of cases.
3. Click Define.
4. Select a variable for the category axis and move it into the Category Axis field. This variable may be numeric, string, or long string.
5. Select one of the alternatives in the Lines Represent group to specify how the data are represented on the scale axis.
6. To define lines, you must select a variable and move it into the Define Lines By field. Separate lines are generated for each category of the line variable. This variable may be numeric, string, or long string.
