Clustered High-Low-Close Summaries for Groups of Cases

  1. Select one variable representing the high value and move it into the High field. Select one variable representing the low value and move it into the Low field. These variables must be numeric.
  2. You may also select a variable representing the closing value and move it into the Close field.

The function used to summarize the variable in the chart is displayed in the field next to the variable name.

  3. To change the summary function for a variable, select the variable in the Bars Represent field and click Change Statistic.

You can select the same variable for High, Low, and Close and assign different summary functions to determine the high, low, and closing values.

  4. Select a category variable and move it into the Category Axis field. This variable may be numeric, string, or long string.
  5. Select a cluster variable used to group bars and move it into the Define Clusters By field. This variable must be numeric. Each cluster will consist of one bar for each value of the cluster variable at every level of the category variable.

To panel the chart, move one or more categorical variables into the Panel By group. See the topic Paneled Charts for more information.
