DECIMAL Subcommand (SET command)
DECIMAL can be used to override the default decimal indicator for reading and writing text data. The default decimal indicator is the OS locale decimal indicator or the decimal indicator for the locale specified on the LOCALE subcommand.
DOT. The decimal indicator is a period.
COMMA. The decimal indicator is a comma.
- A subsequent LOCALE subcommand—either on the same or separate SET command—will override the DECIMAL setting. See the topic LOCALE Subcommand (SET command) for more information.
- This setting only affects reading and writing text data. It has no effect on how data values are displayed in the Data Editor or in results displayed in the Viewer.
