Add Products and Features
On the Add Products and Features page in the Add Software Instance wizard, you can define a new product and associate that product with the subject software instance, or select an existing defined product that might be associated with a different software instance and associate it with the subject software instance.
The Add Products and Features page gives you the option to either define a new product or select an existing defined product. For a description of each option see Defining a new product or Select existing defined product.
Defining a new product
When you specify the wanted properties for the product and click OK to add it, Software Management verifies that the new product is unique. If another non-SMP/E managed product is already defined in the Software Management database, then an error message is displayed.
