Abstract for IBM Tivoli Directory Server Client Programming for z/OS

Purpose of this information

This information describes the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) client application, which is part of IBM® Tivoli® Directory Server for z/OS®, and supports z/OS (5650-ZOS).

Intended audience

This information is intended for application programmers. Application programmers should be experienced and have previous knowledge of directory services.

A backslash is used as a continuation character when entering commands from the shell that exceed one line (255 characters). If the command exceeds one line, use the backslash character \ as the last non-blank character on the line to be continued, and continue the command on the next line.
