Selecting items in multi-select tables
In z/OSMF, multi-select tables show a check box in the select column and allow you to select multiple items.
Procedure
- To select items in multi-select tables, complete one of
the following steps:
- Click the check box in the select column that corresponds
with the item, or select a cell in the row and press the Spacebar.
In tables that do not have editable cells, to select a row, you can
also click anywhere in the row. The selected item is highlighted and
a check mark () is displayed in the check box. If the multi-select
table is also a tree table, one of the following occurs:
- If you select a row that contains a parent node, the rows that contain the corresponding child nodes are also selected. A check mark is displayed in the check box for the corresponding parent and child nodes.
- If you select a row that contains a child node, a check mark is displayed in the check box for the child node and the partial select icon () is displayed in the check box for the corresponding parent node. The partial select icon indicates that the parent node is not selected, but one, multiple, or all of its child nodes are selected.
- Right-click the item to be selected. If the item is not already selected, this selects the item, deselects any items that were previously selected, and displays the context menu. If you right-click a selected item, all items that were previously selected remain selected and the context menu is displayed.
- To select all of the items in the table, either click the select all icon displayed in the table toolbar or select Select All from the Actions menu.
- To select a range of items, click the check box for the first item in the range, press and hold the Shift key, and then click the check box for the last item in the range. All of the items from the first selected item to the current (or last) selected item are marked for selection. If items outside or within the range are already selected, they remain selected.
