Explanation
During system initialization, a console was not available, or
became unavailable, to the system.
The right-most four bytes of the program status word
(PSW) have the following format: xrrrrwww
x
Not relevant
rrrr
A hexadecimal reason code
www
Wait state code

The reason code (rrrr) is one of the following: 0000
No NIP console found
0001
Unrecoverable error from the NIP console

Operator response
Check to see if the console is available. If so, re-IPL. Otherwise, contact
the system programmer.

System programmer response
Check the Console Report in the HCD Operating System (OS) report to
verify that at least one NIP console is configured.
For reason code 0001, power
the console off and on, and re-IPL. If no NIP console is available, the system will use the Hardware
Management Console (HMC) during the IPL.

IODF.
Obtain a stand-alone dump.
Search problem reporting databases for a fix to the problem. If no fix exists, contact the IBM® Support Center.
