Handling disabled aggregates

z/OS Distributed File Service zFS Administration

An aggregate can become disabled for many reasons, such as:
  • An I/O error or failure of a DASD device
  • Loss of connectivity to a DASD device
  • An internal zFS error
  • Permanent corruption of the aggregate
The procedure to re-enable the aggregate varies, depending on the release level of zFS running in the shared file system environment:
