Before the system can do work, you must:
- Start the system.
- Prepare the system hardware.
- Load the system software.
- Initialize the system software. At this point, your installation
might require you to logon to the console. See Logging on to the system.
- Set the time and date, as required.
- Start the job entry subsystem (JES2 or JES3).
- Specify all job entry subsystem parameters.
