SETLOGR MONITOR command

Use the SETLOGR MONITOR command to modify specific system logger IXGCNFxx parmlib parameters pertaining to the z/OS® system logger monitoring activities. The command is useful for providing options for system logger to manage log stream offload delay intervals. See z/OS MVS Initialization and Tuning Reference for more details on the system logger MONITOR statement in SYS1.PARMLIB member IXGCNFxx.

As part of the SETLOGR command, system logger may issue a DISPLAY LOGGER command. See z/OS MVS Setting Up a Sysplex Define authorization for the system logger address space for required SAF authority.

Before changing the MONITOR options, consider issuing a D LOGGER,IXGCNF[,MONITOR] command to see what options are currently in affect. See each parameter description below for any restrictions or special considerations on changing the parameter value with the SETLOGR MONITOR command.
