Using Database Tokens for File Security z/OS MVS Planning: APPC/MVS Management SA23-1388-00 |
|
As a security aid, you can assign a database token to each file. The database token is essentially a single variable that represents the file name in a security definition statement. For example, the database token used in combination with other information allows a specific security definition for each TP profile in the file. Being able to single out individual TPs in a file permits a security administrator to assign security on a TP-by-TP basis. For more information about securing TPs with a database token, see Controlling Access to Database Tokens. |
