Using the SDWA

The SDWA is both a means by which the recovery routine can provide information to the system and to subsequent recovery routines, and a provider of information to the recovery routine. To access and update the SDWA, the recovery routine must include the IHASDWA mapping macro as a DSECT. For complete information about the SDWA, see SDWA in z/OS MVS Data Areas in the z/OS Internet library. The SDWA is always in the primary address space.
