Associated recovery routine (ARR)

z/OS MVS Programming: Extended Addressability Guide

A stacking PC routine can identify an ARR that is to receive control if the PC routine encounters an error. An ARR enables a stacking PC routine to avoid the overhead of defining and activating a recovery routine each time it's invoked. See the section on providing recovery in z/OS MVS Programming: Authorized Assembler Services Guide for more information about ARRs.
