The Peer-to-Peer VTS mode control (PTPMC) function allows an installation or application, such as Geographically Dispersed Parallel Sysplex™ (GDPS®), to change current operating modes of the library. Upon installation of the library, the customer engineer must determine the default mode settings. (See Geographically dispersed parallel sysplex support for peer-to-peer VTS for more information on GDPS.) Attention: In a library with outboard policy management
support, the selective peer-to-peer copy mode overrides PTPMC settings.
