Ensuring I/O Initiation with the TRUNC Macro z/OS DFSMS Using Data Sets SC23-6855-00 |
|
The TRUNC macro is not required for BSAM or BPAM. It is necessary only if you have supplied a DCBE with a nonzero MULTACC value and you are about to issue WAIT or EVENTS for a DECB instead of issuing a CHECK macro. See Waiting for Completion of a Read or Write Operation and DASD and Tape Performance. |
