You can define a CSDATA segment for user profiles. The CSDATA segment contains installation-defined data related to custom fields that your installation has defined. For details about defining custom fields, see Defining and using custom fields.

To define or change information in the CSDATA segment of a user profile, you must have the SPECIAL attribute or at least UPDATE authority to the segment by way of field-level access control. For details, see Authorizing users to update data in a custom field. To display information in the CSDATA segment of a user profile, you must have the SPECIAL attribute or at least READ authority to the segment by way of field-level access control.
