Maximum number of SMSG commands queued to SMTP

Explanation

Twenty SMSG commands are currently queued in SMTP. Wait for SMTP to process the current SMSG commands before issuing more MODIFY smtpprocname,SMSG commands or TSO SMSG commands.

System action

SMTP continues.

Operator response

Attempt to issue the next MODIFY smtpprocname,SMSG or TSO SMSG command later. If SMTP still does not accept MODIFY smtpprocname,SMSG or TSO SMSG commands, contact the system programmer.

System programmer response

Determine whether SMTP is currently processing a large JES spool file. If SMTP is not processing a large JES spool file, collect the SMTP joblog, take a dump of the SMTP address space and contact IBM® service support.
