INCORRECT VALUE parameter SPECIFIED FOR EXITDIRECTION STATEMENT - THE DEFAULT VALUE OF INBOUND WILL BE USED

Explanation

The input parameter on the EXITDIRECTION statement is invalid. The default value of INBOUND will be used instead. This means that the SMTP server will call the customer supplied SMTP exit program to process inbound data from a TCP/IP connection.

parameter shows a maximum of 10 characters of the invalid input parameter. If the parameter is shown as <NULL>, the parameter is missing and needs to be coded.

No action is needed.

System programmer response

Change the parameter associated with the EXITDIRECTION configuration statement to a valid one. If EXITDIRECTION is BOTH then you must also code SAFYES or SAFNO. Stop and restart SMTP to activate the new parameter setting.
